Dr. Mike Norris
Pastor Mike Norris was born and raised in a Christian home in the small town of Evans, West Virginia. After finishing high school, he worked locally for the Appalachian Power Company before God called him into full-time ministry in 1985. After completing his ministerial degree, the Ripley Baptist Temple of Ripley, West Virginia, where he was already serving, called Pastor Norris to become the senior pastor.
After serving in Ripley for thirteen years, God called the Norris family to Franklin Road Baptist Church in 1999. Since his arrival, God has blessed the church with numerical and spiritual growth. Pastor Norris’ love for this church and its people are evident in his personal and practical preaching and his vision for the future of this church.
He and his wife, Mila, were high school sweethearts and have been married since 1981. They have one son, Joel, who married his high school sweetheart, Lauren, who has given Pastor and Mrs. Norris two beautiful grandchildren.

Where do I go when I arrive?
Its hard to miss our growing campus on Highway 96 of Murfreesboro. When you arrive at our East Entrance located on Franklin Road, you will find guest parking, a canopy drop-off area, and a friendly hospitality team to welcome you as you arrive and answer any questions you may have. If you have to park a little further away, look for a friendly cart driver who will give you a smooth ride to the front door.
Most adults attend the morning Worship Service at 11:00 in the auditorium where they enjoy the traditional worship music, the warm fellowship, and the practical Bible preaching of Pastor Norris. You are welcome to attend one of many LifeStage Bible Classes during the 10:00 hour, as well. These classes are smaller group settings where you can meet people, enjoy some coffee and donuts, and hear a Bible lesson directly applicable to your stage of life. This the best way to get to know the people of our church while growing in your faith. For more information or a list of our classes, you can ask a member of our hospitality team upon your arrival.
Where do I take my children?
We believe children are a gift from God. That is why each service offers something special for every child. Safe, clean, and highly staffed nurseries for children two years old and under are available at every service. Children three years old through sixth grade experience fun, friendly, and Bible-centered classes on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. These classes are staffed with trained, friendly, and well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child. For more questions or a schedule of children’s classes offered at each service visit our FRBC Kids page.
We realize our campus can be a little complex. A member of our hospitality team will be happy to help you find the correct classes, nurseries, and pickup locations upon your arrival.
How should I dress?
There is not a dress code at Franklin Road Baptist Church for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in traditional Sunday dress; however, we want you to feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here at Franklin Road Baptist!
Am I expected to participate in the offering?
We do not invite you to Franklin Road Baptist Church for your offering. Our weekly offering is used as a time for our members to give back to God and worship Him with our finances. As our guest, we want our worship service to be our gift to you.
